WALT- Observe how an egg reacts in fresh vs salt water to understand the concept of density.
My class did a egg in water experiment. We got a jar of water and a fresh egg. Next we predicted if the egg would float or sink in the water. When we put the egg in the water and it sank. Then we added 175g of salt into the water and the egg floated.
I learnt that the egg floated in the salt water because the salt water has more density than the egg. With the fresh water, the egg had more density, so it sank.
